Flying Punjab is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that traverses taboo territory for Bollywood. Not only does the film acknowledge the drug trade and it’s devastating realities but questions the authorities’ role in the flow of drugs into India. The film’s bold narrative follows four people caught in the narcotics web: a rockstar addict Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor), a poor field worker (Alia Bhatt), a corrupt police office (Diljit Dosanjh) and doctor trying to fight the tide of overdose (Kareena Kapoor Khan).
