In this goofy cult comedy, then-Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg plays “Hot Rod” Kimble, a dangerously amateur stuntman with lofty ambitions. When his antagonistic stepfather needs money for a heart transplant, Rod devises a scheme to raise the funds by jumping his bike over 15 buses — so he can get revenge on his hated stepfather on his own terms.

Concocted by the Lonely Island team of Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, the film was initially a box office failure but has since been widely reappraised as an inventive and chaotic comedy gem. The film's absurd humour is adeptly handled by a cast that includes Isla Fisher, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, Ian McShane and Sissy Spacek.
