When the painfully shy Chen (Kenny Bee) and his wannabe-lothario friend Lolanto (Pak-Cheung Chan) are asked to go undercover to root out embezzlement at Chen's father's company, they don't expect to cross paths again with the two women — Kitty (Maggie Cheung) and May (Cherie Chung) — who rejected them on a recent trip to Hawaii. Their investigation soon becomes a comedy of errors that snowballs into a completely bonkers showdown involving a high-stakes snooker match, electric chairs and a shot at true love.
After finding some local fame as a model, pageant queen and television presenter, Maggie Cheung made her big screen debut in Prince Charming, a delightful romp from prolific filmmaker Wong Jing. An immediately charismatic screen presence, Cheung shines alongside several other rising stars of 1980s Hong Kong cinema this screwball comedy confection.
