About
Adapted by the writer Angela Carter from her revisionist fairy-tale collection ‘The Bloody Chamber’, The Company of Wolves tells the tale-within-a-tale of Rosaleen (Sarah Patterson), who dreams she must travel through the deep dark woods to visit her grandmother (Angela Lansbury). In a macabre turn of events, she becomes attached to a rugged woodsman, with wolfish tendencies. This feminist gothic horror film stylishly blends the French story of 'Little Red Riding Hood' by Charles Perrault with supernatural tales of werewolves.
