About
The Lost Tiger 2024
As a baby thylacine or ‘Tasmanian tiger’ adopted into a family of travelling boxing kangaroos, Teo’s (Thomas Weatherall) life is full of excitement, but deep down he longs to know where he came from. When strange visions force him to confront the truth of his difference, he embarks on a journey of discovery. He travels with amateur adventurer Plato the Platypus (Rhys Darby), while surreptitiously pursued by the sly Quinella Quoll who seeks to steal Teo and his homeland’s resources. With Bardi woman Chantelle Murray at the helm, The Lost Tiger is the first Australian animated feature to be written and directed by an Indigenous woman and is the latest film from Brisbane-based studio Like a Photon Creative. The story captures not just the feeling of disconnection from cultural roots, but the universal yearning to find a place in the world.

Jarli 2021
Ingenious engineer Jarli is trialling her latest masterpiece: an aircraft made from scrap metal. Testing then recalibration is an important part of Jarli’s scientific process and with her mum’s fancy hairbrush plugged into the turbo ‘incabulator’, it’ll soar this time for sure. Director Chantelle Murray’s animation is produced by Like a Photon Creative in collaboration with the Royal Australian Air Force aiming to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams in STEM.
