About

Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions at our monthly Members lecture, then catch up with friends and meet fellow Members over a two-course lunch in the River Lounge at GOMA.

Join Reuben Keehan, Curator, Asian Art, QAGOMA for a lecture exploring work in the Asia Pacific Triennial by artists from Greater China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. It will touch on often overlapping themes within the Triennial of relationships between migration and labour, history and memory, forms and symbols, and representation and place. Lecture only tickets may be available.

This talk is the sixth in an ongoing series offering insights into artworks and projects included in ‘The 11th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art’, on display across QAG & GOMA until 27 April 2025.

Includes a glass of wine and two-course lunch (main and dessert). Please RSVP and advise any special dietary requirements by Tuesday 18 February.

Participation and content

  • These events are a great way to meet fellow Members and many people attend solo. Seating for this event is communal and unallocated. Please let our staff know if you require assistance being seated.
  • Capacity is limited.

Sensory aspects

  • Speakers will use an amplified microphone during the lecture.
  • A screen/projection will be used during the lecture.
  • The lecture will be held in Cinema A, which is a 220 seat theatre space, and the lights will be turned down on the audience during the event. You can leave the space at any time and re-enter the event.
  • Background music will be played during lunch.
  • Chairs with backs will be available.
  • This event will be photographed by QAGOMA staff. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise a QAGOMA staff member on arrival.
