About
This exciting ‘Art Box for Kids’ project invites children to discover the work of Trawlwoolway/Pairabeene and Laremairremener (Tasmanian Aboriginal) artist Mandy Quadrio. Mandy’s people have been using Tasmanian bull kelp as a material for thousands of years. The kelp is used in many ways, including making carriers to hold water, food or seeds. In the activity 'Paper Treasure Carrier', children are invited to create their own unique paper carrier to hold their special objects and treasures.
‘Art Box for Kids’ prioritises sustainable exhibition design and the use of recycled or repurposed activity materials where possible.
