TERRA SPIRITUS . . . with a darker shade of pale 1993–98 is Bea Maddock's magnum opus comprising 51 sheets of ochre on paper, extending for 40 metres in a single line. The work acknowledges Tasmania's Indigenous people, and is accompanied in this display by a group of exquisite contemporary Aboriginal shell necklaces and other works by Maddock exploring Tasmania's history.
