About
For more than 150 years, watercolour painting has enlivened artistic life in Queensland.
'Transparent: Watercolour in Queensland 1850s–1980s' showcases the achievements of Queensland's watercolour artists and their significant place in Australian art history. The exhibition also demonstrates the medium's important role in Queensland's visual history from its earliest colonial beginnings through to the 1980s, which was arguably watercolour's most exuberant and expressionistic decade.
