About

Drawn from the South and Southeast Asian art Collections, 'Weavers, wanderers' features vernacular art-forms such as the making of textiles, and investigates how these have inspired and captivated artists and travellers. The exhibition includes textiles from India and Laos, works by Indian artists Jyoti Bhatt and N.N. Rimzon, painting by Lao-Australian artist Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, and a suite of photographs collected in India at the beginning of the twentieth century.
