The Gallery welcomes student groups, as well as community groups or associations.

Bookings are required in advance for any group of 10 or more visiting the Gallery. Please allow at least three working days’ notice when booking self-guided groups.

Bookings can be made using the form below or by contacting the Group Bookings Office between 8.30am–4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Student Groups

Student group visits are self-guided. We can provide teachers with information to plan a tailored class visit that best meets their students' needs and units of study.

Community Groups/Associations

Booked groups from community associations or organisations may self-guide or enquire about a free 30–40 minute guided group tour with one of our volunteer guides.

Guided tours are suitable for visitors aged over 18 years and are subject to capacity and availability. At least 15 days’ booking notice is required for a volunteer-led guided group tour.

Destination QAGOMA: School Access Program

Transport costs for travel to QAGOMA can be the single greatest barrier preventing some schools and families from participating in a gallery visit.

Hosted by QAGOMA Learning, ‘Destination QAGOMA’ is a school access program that broadens learning opportunities for eligible Queensland primary and secondary schools, and special education classes, who may not otherwise have capacity to travel to the gallery. The program provides reimbursement towards travel costs for schools that are profiled with below-average socio-education index (as per ACARA My School Index).
